Historically accurate (c.1780) case in Oak, Maple or Spanish Cedar for Pochettes (aka Dancing Master's Kit Fiddles), such as the Neil Gow Pochette. Only nails, hide glue, cutlery rivets and a few steel or brass slotted head screws (they were an expensive commodity at the time) are used in construction.
The fit and finish of the standard model is hardly rustic but NOT presentation quality. If you are interested in our highly-varnished (inside and out), with leather rather than felt padding, see the NEW Wooden Presentation Case for Pochettes.
The photos below illustrate a version of the case in red oak rather than maple.
