E. Wilfer’s master workshop is located at Möhrendorf, a small town near Nuremberg (Bavaria/Germany).
E. Wilfer’s instruments are made workshop style from the famous family’s supply of high-quality seasoned European tonewood. The quality of workmanship, tone and appearance are immediately evident in these fine instruments. Each instrument produces a warm, clear tone, with excellent bow response. They are 100% made in Germany.
Master built model with extremely tight-grained spruce top with dramatically flamed maple back and ribs. Available with either an antiqued or non-antiqued varnish. Produces a warm, powerful and complex (i.e. rich in overtones) tone.
E. Wilfer violins are generally shipped with Thomastik Dominant strings.
